In November 2005 IPH ltd hosted a 3 Day Exhibition and Party to celebrate not only 100 Years of Valio but 50 Years of Valio in Cyprus ; a double celebration.
Business leaders and politicians joined the Ambassador of Finland and members of the board of Valio at the beautiful Lions Club in old Nicosia for a truly memorable night
A string quartet added to the ambience candles and flowers adorned the beautiful courtyard of the old town house while in side rooms a photo exhibition showed the history of Valio and Valio in Cyprus. The future was reflected in an exhibition created to show the new phase in product development from Valio
Mr Iakovos in his opening speech said :
“Such an event is truly unique and provides an opportunity to reflect on the past and look to the future.
Standing here tonight reminds me how many people have been involved in the success story of Valio in Cyprus. Our business associates, through the years - we thank them for their belief and support .Our partners in the retail and catering sectors, who have helped us create Valio as the leading imported Cheese brand in Cyprus. But most of all we must thank the generations of consumers here, who over the fifty years have trusted Valio and made it part of there everyday life. One in three families enjoy Valio cheese every week, without them we would not be here today.”
Mr Takis Photiades who began the cooperation with Valio added:
“All my efforts and promotion of Valio dairy products in Cyprus were based on my strong belief about the excellent quality of Finland’s milk because of Finland’s nature and the environmental purity. The consumer of Valio Product, must know that Valio translated in English means excellent, the best and that Finland’s milk is the purest in Europe. Over and above however was Valio production process, the cleanness, the efficiency, the prompt service and sincere and open mind co-operation which was witnessed by myself many times.”
The following evening a Party was held for customers of IPH Ltd and on the final evening the staff of IPH Ltd celebrated together.
The event began a major burst of advertising on national TV and Magazine which continued through November and December. |
